What can we build from here?

Exploring the spectrum of human experiences, currently fascinated by: Space exploration, Probability Theory and Espresso mugs.

I study electrical engineering at ETH Zürich and co-founded TONUS, where we work on measuring blood pressure without ever using a cuff.

How I got here

After school I planned to study economics in Milan. Then I did my Swiss civil service repairing excavators in the Berner Oberland, and that work made me want to study engineering. I enrolled in mechanical engineering at ETH with a later switch to electrical engineering.

What I work on

TONUS began in spring 2025 as a D-MAVT focus project and has continued as a research project since the rollout in May 2026. I’ve worked on the sensor boards, sponsors, project management and visual language.

I enjoy finding visual ways of explaining/ presenting the content learned in lectures (currently working on a video on the Binomial Coefficient & Pascal’s Triangle).

I’m most useful where engineering meets management. Technically I’m drawn to robotics and neuromorphic hardware, although I am yet to settle on a niche.

Outside of engineering I am trying to better understand the world of economics: How real events, such as elections and wars, move markets.

Outside of building & studying

Having grown up in hilly Appenzell, I have a weakness for running & cycling. I’m an avid footie player, and am drawn to visually appealing things, which I explore through photography. Currently I am shooting film on my great uncle’s Minox 35 ML. I speak German, English, Spanish, French and some Italian.
